How far in advance should I book a charter?

Peak weeks in the Mediterranean and Caribbean can book out 6–9 months ahead, especially for larger crewed yachts. That said, we regularly place last-minute charters within days by working our network directly — always worth asking, whatever your timeline.

What's included in the charter fee?

The base charter fee covers the yacht and crew. Running costs — fuel, food, drink, marina fees, and gratuities — are usually billed separately via an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), typically 25–35% of the charter fee. We walk you through the exact breakdown before you commit to anything.

Can you tailor the itinerary to what we want?

Yes — that's the entire point of working with a consultant rather than booking a yacht off a listing site. We build the route, onboard experience and shore excursions around your pace and preferences, from a quiet family week to an active, port-hopping itinerary.

Do I need sailing experience to charter a yacht?

No. The vast majority of our charters are fully crewed — professional captain and crew included — so no experience is required. If you're specifically after a bareboat (self-skippered) charter, let us know and we'll advise on what's realistic for your experience level.

How does payment work?

Typically a deposit secures the booking, with the balance and APA due closer to departure — exact terms depend on the yacht and owner/operator. We confirm the schedule in writing before anything is binding.

What happens if we need to cancel?

Cancellation terms are set by the yacht's owner or operator and vary by contract — we make sure you understand them clearly before you book, and can advise on charter insurance if you'd like that extra protection.
